Professional Background

My name is Alex and I am a junior web developer at 321. In 2022 I graduated from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science with a major in Information Systems Technology. In addition to my Associates Degree, I earned a Career Studies Certificate with a major in Computer Programming from JSRCC. Currently I am attending WGU working towards my Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Software Engineering. Learning and enhancing my skills as a developer is something I am very passionate about.

Outside of work I enjoy playing music, going to shows, creating art, watching hockey, spending time with friends, and skateboarding. When I was younger, I worked my way up to becoming a semi-professional skateboarder. During that time, I was able to travel the country and be featured in prominent skateboard magazines and videos. Due to a knee injury, and subsequent surgery, my skate career was cut short. Those many months rehabbing my knee is when I began to learn code and found my next great passion.
